Entire Exterior Decontamination

Until our paint correction and polishing crew sees what is under the contamination on your exterior, we really have no way of knowing what it will take to correct those surfaces and intensify your finish. Therefore, we call in our expert exterior detailing crew to completely decontaminate your exterior to start your selected paint correction package with a blank canvas.

Professional Paint Surface Inspection

Now that all the messes have been removed from your exterior, the real inspection can begin. As professionals certified in the paint correction industry, we are able to discern with ultimate precision what type of defects plague what areas of your vehicle’s paintwork and recommend any package upgrades that we see as being beneficial to you.

Paint Correction With Abrasion

Here comes the part where results begin to take shape! All of our packages involve light to medium abrasion, which cuts away a very fine range of clear coat, which is where much of your surface defects live. In doing so, we level off your vehicle’s factory finish and remove the defects in accordance with your selected paint correction or polishing package.

Swirl-Free Polish To Shine

Now that everything has been leveled off, we can complete the process by amping up your surface gloss in a way that is sure to leave your jaw hanging open! We perform buffing and polishing to shine your clear coat and completely rid the newly corrected surface of any remaining paint correction residue, leaving behind a deep, swirl-free surface gloss that is best enhanced with a ceramic coating thereafter.

Why Choose Paint Correction? - FAQs Answered By Our Pros

  • What type of paint defects do your packages remedy?

An easy way to understand this is as follows: Anything that has not cracked the body of your vehicle or caused damage that has reached and negatively affected your vehicle’s original paintwork beneath the clear coat can be corrected. This includes, but is not limited to, swirl marks from poor washing techniques, light surface scratches, stains from bird droppings and tree sap, etching from acid rain, and more.

  • Do you require paint correction before having a ceramic coating package installed?

We do not require paint correction prior to the application of ceramic coating. However, paint correction is highly recommended. No paintwork is without some type of defect that should not be highlighted alongside your deep, detailed, and beautiful paintwork.  The benefits of paint correction are many, but the main two are improved reflectivity and longevity of your paintwork. If you choose not to do paint correction, we will still clean your car's exterior with a decontamination wash and then apply the ceramic coating.

  • How permanent is my paint correction package?

There are no smoke and mirrors here at Luxury Car Care LLC - your paint will be permanently corrected. However, bear in mind that paint correction and polishing in no way permanently prevents FUTURE degradation and defects from taking place, so it pays to consider paint protection to follow.

  • Do you actually cut away paint from my vehicle?

Paint correction services are completely constrained to your surface clear coat. The defects that can be remedied by our packages here at Luxury Car Care LLC of Mason, Ohio are only inflicted on your vehicle’s clear coat. Any damage that might have broken through to your actual paintwork requires a specific type of auto body repair. The only exception to this is if you have an older vehicle with single stage paint.  In that scenario, our professionals can still bring back the luster of your paint with a paint correction detail. However,  it is important to keep in mind that we can only work with what is there and we may not be able to achieve the same level of perfection that we could if you had a modern vehicle.

  • Do automatic car washes cause swirls and scratches in paint?

We get this question a lot, and the answer is… yes!  Automatic car washes can cause swirls and scratches in your paint.  Here’s why: most automatic car washes use brushes or other abrasive materials to clean your car.  These brushes can be made of different materials, but they all have one thing in common: they’re not as soft as a sponge or cloth.  As the brushes spin around, they can easily cause swirls and scratches in your paint.  Additionally, automatic car wash brushes often pick up material such as dirt, sand, and even small rocks from other vehicles and deposit them on your car.  The result is that your car’s paint is being abraded by both the brush and the debris it’s picking up.
